Help Save Lance Dela Cruz

Have you ever heard of Acute Lymphoblastic leuekemia? This is a very difficult post for me to write but many avenues seem to have been closed to me so I hope you can take the time to read my story.I am the mother of a seven year-old boy named Lance Dela Cruz, he was so handsome, he looks like an angel and has a smile that lights up the world. His laugh never fails to be contagious to all within earshot. He is loved by many people especially to his Father. My husband was just a tricycle diver and I have no ability to contribute simply because I still have a 1 year old baby girl to attend to.

He was still confined at CI of Philippine General Hospital, Taft Avenuew Manila and was diagnosed to have acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. His sickness started early September, he was suffering from then look like a simple arthritis, we brought him to the nearest pediatrician and ask for help, the doctor made the necessary medical examination and to our surprise nothing found. The doctor done every possible medical examination, including CBC, Xray and even 2D-echo. The Doctor told us that it was JAS or juvenile arthritis, that is why he was treated for that kind of illness but to our surprised his condition never get better. We all decided to take him to another doctor for second opinion, we brough him in Manila, Philippine Heart Center to be exact and UDMC. Due to financial problem we never done some more medical examination they asked and continue with the prescription of the first Doctor that treated him. But on November 30, we decided to take him again to another pedia, because we noticed his stomach became bigger and bigger.

Then, the doctor made another medical examination and they found out that his spleen and liver are swelling that is why the Doctor adviced us to immediately went to PGH where Oncologist are available. On that same afternoon, we ask help and brought Lance to the hospital, another medical examinations had been made and they found out that his hemoglabin and platelet count is dropping. He was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia that is why a complete CBC count has made and they told us that they found some cancer cells present from his Blood. They advice Lance to have Bone Marrow Aspiration/Biopsy. And in his bone marrow results, Lance was diagnosed to be suffering from Acute B-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Therein lies the dilemma – how to get money to start with his chemotherapy and this kind of treatment means a lot of money. We are working so hard to have the money he needed but how? We worked already but what we have today was not even enough for his own daily medicine because he has some sort of infection. Lance has so many ambition, he was a great singer and a great son. I don't want to lose him! I would do anything just to make him alive. He has a great future ahead of him. It is a common knowledge that there are institution who are willing to help kids like Lance but we all know that approaching them is like having a dream. With our present condition in life even reaching them is so hard for us. Even the daily transportation to be able to reach a particular institution is a big problem to us.

Now, I am here in front of you, begging you to please open your heart to my little angel. We badly need any kind of help, we badly need blood donors, medicine or any form of assisstance. I'm begging you to please do help us!!! I do really want him to survive! Please consider this request with my gratitude.
